Jose Gregorio Gonzalez had just finished making breakfast for his younger brother, Alfredo, when he was detained by ICE in Cicero, IL on March 3, 2025. Jose is the only caretaker for Alfredo, who has 100% kidney failure and depends on dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours each season, to survive. The only way to guarantee Alfredo receives a life-saving kidney transplant is for Jose to be a donor. release from ICE for humanitarian resident is planned but pending and they'll need help once they're released.
